Sometimes students assume that the state educational path is still the most effective. So why are qualifications from the commercial sector becoming more in demand? With university education costs spiralling out of control, alongside the IT sector's recognition that key company training is closer to the mark commercially, there has been a great increase in Microsoft, CompTIA, CISCO and Adobe authorised training programmes that provide key skills to an employee at a fraction of the cost and time involved. Higher education courses, as a example, often get bogged down in a lot of loosely associated study - with much too broad a syllabus. So although you lay the graphic-blocks & add the text, Dreamweaver is turning this into coding in the background. If you are aiming to be a commercially viable web-designer, you will have to have a thorough understanding of these 'languages'.

The way in which your courseware is broken down for you is often missed by many students. How many stages do they break the program into? And in what sequence and at what speed is it delivered? Most companies will sell you a 2 or 3 year study programme, and drop-ship the materials to you piecemeal as you pass each exam. If you think this sound logical, then consider this: Often, the staged breakdown pushed by the company's salespeople doesn't suit all of us. It may be difficult to get through all the modules within the time limits imposed?
